THIS ANCIENT CONVENT built in the
17th Century, housed firstly the Clarisas order, later the Franciscanos
and is today the recently restored Convento de San Francisco Hotel.
It is situated in the centre of the city. This hotel has 25 rooms,
with capacity for 50 guests. Its restaurant, “El Refectorio”,
offers a rich and varied menu in a delightful setting.
Vejer. Rated as a National Historical Artistic
Monument, Vejer sits on top of a coastal hill with
panoramic views over the lake La Janda, the River
Barbate at the foot of the hill, the beaches of
Palmar and Cape Trafalgar and the sea beyond.
